By accessing or using Metis ("the Service"), operated at usemetis.co, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Metis after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Metis is an AI-powered competitive intelligence platform. We help businesses track and analyze publicly available information about their competitors — including website changes, pricing updates, messaging shifts, and more.

Our AI analyzes publicly accessible data to generate insights, battle cards, and recommendations. We do not access private, password-protected, or otherwise restricted information.

To use Metis, you need to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

You must provide accurate information during registration. If we discover an account with false information, we may suspend or terminate it.

Metis offers the following plans:

• Free — Limited features, no credit card required
• Growth — $29.99/month (or discounted annually)
• Pro — $79.99/month (or discounted annually)

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. All fees are in USD and non-refundable unless required by law.

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you'll keep access until then.

You agree not to:

• Use Metis to violate any law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
• Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal usage

Metis, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, is owned by Metis and protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Metis without our written permission.

You own your data. Any competitor lists, configurations, or custom content you create in Metis belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of your data.

You grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We will never sell your data to third parties.

AI-generated insights (battle cards, recommendations, summaries) are created for your use as part of the Service. You're free to use them in your business.

Metis is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we work hard to ensure accuracy, AI-generated analysis may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should verify important competitive insights independently.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Metis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We'll retain your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, after which it will be permanently deleted.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
